Celts
Historians use the words "Celt" and "Celtic" to describe and contain a large number of tribes which came into Britain some 2700 years ago. There were hundreds of Celtic tribes in the British Isles, with different gods, languages, and habits; but most were at a similar stage of socio-economic development. Over the centuries, they began to merge into what we today call Celtic culture.
