Celtic History
Stretching back some 2700 years, Celtic history encompasses the unfolding story of a huge number of interacting tribes on the European continent and in the British Isles. Their increased prosperity attracted the Romans, and after they departed the Celts faced the dramatic migrations, came to terms with versions of Christianity, and survived into the modern age as part of the basic foundation of European culture.
